SELF-PUBLISH YOUR COMIC at Binus International
Pada tanggal 13 Desember 2008, M productions bersama Splash mendapatkan kesempatan untuk memperkenalkan konsep self-publishing di Binus International dalam seminar SELF-PUBLISH YOUR COMIC yang diadakan oleh Creative Art Community (CAC) Binus International. Seminar akan membahas: gambaran singkat perkomikan Indonesia, perbandingan mainstream dan indie, seluk beluk self-publishing dengan berbagai hal yang dibutuhkan, sisi bisnis, potensi dan juga fakta lapangannya. Seminar juga akan membandingkan kinerja M productions yang berbasis 'one man army' dengan Seven Artland (penerbit majalah komik Splash) yang berbasis studio. M productions diwakili oleh Marico (komikus Deviant). Splash diwakili oleh Ririn dan Mini SYS. Kegiatan ini juga akan melibatkan Chris Lie, salah satu komikus Indonesia bertaraf internasional yang pernah menggarap proyek Marvel, Hasbro, dsb. Workshop akan dipandu oleh Caravan Studio (studio yang menggarap komik ALIA). We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
